미국 원격 재활치료 시장은 2025년 기준 약 943억 달러 규모로 성장할 전망이며, 픽스업헬스는 이 시장의 50% 점유를 장기 목표로 삼고 있다. UKF 참가를 통해 이 목표 달성의 발판을 마련했다는 평가다.

위플로 – "3년 반 동안 경쟁자 없는 유일무이 기술"

비접촉 센서로 3개월 전 고장 예측…전국 200개 드론 거점 구축

한화시스템 출신 벤처인 위플로(WEFLO)는 드론, 에어택시(eVTOL), 전기차 등 전동 모빌리티의 예지정비 솔루션으로 UKF 행사에서 항공·모빌리티 분야 투자자들의 집중적인 관심을 받았다.

K-EnterTech Hub와의 인터뷰에서 위플로 관계자는 "UKF에서 우리 기술을 본 투자자들은 '왜 이런 솔루션이 지금까지 없었느냐'며 놀라워했다"며 "우리는 2022년 한국 최대 방산기업 한화시스템에서 스핀오프한 회사로, 드론, 에어택시, 전기차 등 전기 모터로 구동되는 미래 모빌리티 플랫폼을 위한 AI 진단 솔루션을 제공한다"고 소개했다.

전기 모터의 구조적 한계를 지적하며 "전기 모터는 코일과 베어링으로 구성된 매우 정교한(intricate) 구조라서 매우 세밀한 검사가 필요하다"며 "그런데 현재 솔루션으로는 인간의 육안으로만 점검할 수 있다. 1970년대 기술로 2030년대 항공기를 유지보수하고 있는 셈"이라고 비판했다.

위플로가 개발한 'Verti-Pit(버티핏)' 솔루션은 이 문제를 해결한다. "우리는 매우 스마트한 솔루션을 개발했다. AI와 센서가 비접촉 방식으로 물리 데이터를 수집한다. 드론을 패드 위에 올려놓고 구동 시스템을 작동시키면, 센서가 소음, 진동, 전자파 같은 영상 데이터를 수집하기 시작한다. AI 알고리즘이 이를 정상 상태와 비교 분석한다"고 설명했다.

"시스템은 사용자에게 '당신의 모터에 문제가 있으니 3개월 이내에 교체해야 한다'고 알려준다. 비극적 사고를 예방하는 예지정비 솔루션"이라고 강조했다.

경쟁 환경에 대해서는 자신감을 드러냈다. "솔직히 우리의 유일한 경쟁자는 인간"이라며 "우리는 왜 그런지 모르겠지만, 이미 3년 반이 지났는데도 유사한 컨셉의 경쟁사를 찾을 수 없었다. 비슷한 솔루션을 발견하지 못했다"고 밝혔다.

"우리는 인간 노동력을 대체할 수 있어 비용과 시간을 절감하고, 효율성과 정확도를 극대화한다"며 "TTA(한국정보통신기술협회) 인증 기준으로 고장 감지 정확도가 99.5~99.8%를 넘는다. 현재 수집하는 데이터는 한국 정부 및 국방부와 진행 중인 프로젝트에서 나온다"고 설명했다.

사업 확장 계획도 구체적이다. "우리는 전국에 200개 이상의 드론 배송 센터를 구축했고, 2027년까지 650개소로 확장할 계획"이라며 "이 패드에는 센서가 내장돼 있어, 드론을 올려놓기만 하면 센서가 소음, 진동, 전자파 같은 물리 데이터 수집을 시작한다"고 말했다.

"각 부품의 정확한 상태를 감지하고, AI 대시보드가 데이터를 분석해 정상 상태와 비교한다. 쉽게 말하면 의사가 환자를 진단하는 것과 같은 솔루션"이라고 비유했다.

위플로는 CES 2025에서 'Verti-Pit mini'로 혁신상(Drones 부문)을 수상했으며, 김의정 대표는 무인이동체 산업 발전 공로로 산업통상자원부 장관 표창을 받았다. UKF 행사 이후에는 미국 드론 배송업체 및 eVTOL 스타트업들과의 파트너십 논의가 본격화되고 있다.

서울다이나믹스 – "단일 플랫폼으로 모든 산업 자동화"

온디바이스 AI로 현장 환경 스스로 판단…제조·물류·건설·반도체 자동화

서울다이나믹스(Seoul Dynamics)는 Physical AI 기반의 단일 플랫폼 로봇 솔루션으로 실내외 모든 산업 현장의 자동화를 구현하며, UKF 행사에서 제조업 및 물류업계 관계자들로부터 큰 호응을 얻었다.

K-EnterTech Hub와의 인터뷰에서 서울다이나믹스 관계자는 "UKF 참가자들이 가장 놀라워한 부분은 하나의 플랫폼으로 사족보행 로봇부터 휴머노이드까지 모두 제어할 수 있다는 점"이라며 "우리의 Physical AI 로봇 솔루션은 실내외 모든 산업 현장에 배치되어 작업 환경을 스스로 인식하고 자율적으로 동작하는 지능형 플랫폼"이라고 설명했다.

"온디바이스 AI(기기 내장형 AI) 기반의 실시간 추론 및 상황 예측 능력을 갖췄다"며 "단순 반복 작업부터 비정형·고난도 업무까지 인간의 노동을 대체하거나 보조할 수 있다"고 강조했다.

이 회사의 차별점은 플랫폼의 확장성이다. "사족보행 로봇, 휴머노이드 등 여러 형태의 로봇을 단일 플랫폼으로 일괄 통합·제어할 수 있다"며 "초정밀 센서와 로봇파운데이션 모델(RFM)을 통해 복잡한 산업 미션도 수행한다"고 설명했다.

대규모 로봇 집단 운영, 현장 환경 변화 대응, AI 기반 작업 최적화와 데이터 수집 기능을 제공하며, 제조업 생산라인, 물류창고, 건설현장, 반도체 공정, 농업, 재난구조 등 다양한 분야에 적용되고 있다.

UKF 행사 이후 북미 지역 제조업체 및 물류기업들과의 파일럿 프로젝트 논의가 활발히 진행 중이다.

"올바른 연결만 만들면 미국 시장 정복 가능"

UKF 행사에 참석한 미국 바이어는 한국 기술에 대한 찬사를 아끼지 않았다. 영상에 출연한 그는 "지금까지 정말 흥미로운 시간이었다. 이전에 들어본 적 없는 기업들이 많았는데, 일부는 매우 혁신적이고 정말 흥미로운 일을 하고 있다"며 "이들은 미국 시장과 다른 국가에 진출해야 하는데, 누군가 그 격차를 해소하도록 도와야 할 것 같다"고 말했다.

"내 회사가 그 역할을 할 수 있기를 바란다. 나는 여기 와서 그런 격차를 메우고 싶다"며 "정말 놀라운 점은 맛있는 음식도 있고, 화장품도 있고, 새로운 기술도 있다는 것이다. 미국인들이 이런 것들을 사용해야 하는데, 올바른 연결(right connections)을 만들기만 하면 된다"고 강조했다.

"나는 이 제품들을 더 많이 시도해봐야 한다. 짧은 대화만 나눴지만, 이 제품들을 직접 사용해보고 미국 시장에 얼마나 잘 맞을지 확인하고 싶다"며 "첫인상으로는 미국 시장에 합리적으로 잘 맞을 것 같은 제품들이다. 집에 가서 사용해보기만 하면 된다"고 기대감을 표했다.

K-EnterTech Hub "검증된 기술력이 글로벌 확장 동력"

K-EnterTech Hub 한정훈 대표는 이번 UKF 참가 성과에 대해 "예상보다 훨씬 뜨거운 반응을 얻었다"며 "Physical AI는 단순히 알고리즘이 아니라 실제 물리적 세계에서 작동하며 이미 시장에서 검증된 기술"이라고 평가했다.

"무브먼츠의 3km 자율주행, 픽스업헬스의 99% 수납률, 위플로의 99.8% 진단 정확도는 모두 실제 현장에서 나온 검증된 수치"라며 "이런 구체적인 성과가 UKF 참가자들의 신뢰를 얻은 핵심 요인"이라고 분석했다.

"이번 'The Uncontested' 프로젝트는 한국의 AI 로보틱스 기업들이 미국과 중동 등 해외 파트너와 협력할 수 있도록 기술 스토리텔링을 지원한 사례"라며 "UKF 같은 글로벌 네트워킹 플랫폼을 통해 한국 스타트업들의 실질적인 해외 진출을 지속적으로 지원할 것"이라고 밝혔다.

한 대표는 "UKF 행사 이후 4개 기업 모두 구체적인 투자 및 파트너십 논의가 시작됐다"며 "특히 무브먼츠는 중동 정부기관과의 대규모 프로젝트 논의가 본격화됐고, 픽스업헬스는 미국 클리닉 체인들과의 계약 협상이 진행 중"이라고 전했다.

"K-테크 AI가 현실 세계를 움직인다는 메시지를 전하는 것이 우리의 목표"라며 "창업자들이 기술 개발에만 집중할 수 있도록, 글로벌 시장 진출을 위한 콘텐츠 제작, 네트워킹, 컨설팅을 원스톱으로 지원하고 있다"고 강조했다.
