Studio Dragon's 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty' Claims No. 3 Spot Globally in Netflix's H2 2025 Engagement Report, Joining 'Wednesday Season 2' and 'Stranger Things 5' at the Top

Studio Dragon extends its streak of global mega-hits following "The Glory" (2023) and "Queen of Tears" (2024)

Studio Dragon's hit series Bon Appétit, Your Majesty has officially claimed the third spot among all series content worldwide in total hours viewed on Netflix for the second half of 2025.

According to Netflix's "What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report" for H2 2025, released on January 21, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty accumulated an impressive 588.3 million hours viewed during the reporting period.

The Korean drama trails only Wednesday Season 2 (No. 1 with 964.1 million hours) and Stranger Things 5 (No. 2 with 879.7 million hours), underscoring its remarkable global appeal.

Originally released in August 2025 through tvN, Tving, and Netflix, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty is a time-slip romantic comedy starring Lim Yoon-a as Yeon Ji-young, a perfectionist French chef who finds herself transported back in time to serve as the royal chef for Yeonhuigun (Lee Chae-min), a notoriously tyrannical king with an insatiable palate.

The series' distinctive blend of time-travel fantasy, romance, and traditional Korean cuisine captivated audiences worldwide, surpassing 100 million cumulative hours viewed within just three weeks of release and peaking at a 20% viewership rating on tvN—making it the most talked-about drama of 2025.

Studio Dragon, which supplies content to major global streaming platforms, continues to demonstrate unrivaled production prowess by delivering K-drama mega-hits year after year.

Since Netflix began publishing its bi-annual engagement reports, Studio Dragon productions have consistently ranked among the top global performers: The Glory placed No. 3 in H1 2023 with 622.8 million hours viewed, and Queen of Tears secured the No. 3 position in H1 2024 with 682.6 million hours—a testament to the enduring global appeal of K-romance.

"This year, we are set to unveil a diverse lineup of new originals, including Teach You a Lesson, Notes from the Last Row, and Slow, but Intensive on Netflix, as well as Gold Land on Disney+," said a Studio Dragon spokesperson.

"Additionally, several other major projects, including Yumi's Cells Season 3, are slated for global release as we continue to solidify our position as a leading K-drama powerhouse through the production of premium content."
