Conference highlights shift from technology competition to experience economy as virtual production, localization tools, and immersive media redefine content creation and distribution
INCHEON, South Korea — The entertainment technology landscape is undergoing a fundamental transformation as artificial intelligence and extended reality converge to reshape not just production methods, but the entire revenue structure and creative ecosystem of the industry.
This shift was on full display at ICNX (Incheon Creativity & Next Experience) 2025, held in October at Songdo Convensia, where global leaders in technology, media, and content gathered under the theme "Beyond Intelligence, Into Experience." The conference, hosted by Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon Technopark with support from Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, revealed an industry moving rapidly from technology-centric competition to experience-driven innovation.
