Human Storytelling Remains Core Despite AI Technology Advancement

Fairground Entertainment, a generative AI content studio founded by former Xumo CEO Colin Petrie-Norris, is pioneering a new frontier in content production by transforming comic books into AI-based TV series through a partnership with Rogue Matter.

From Static Pages to Moving Pictures

The company will adapt three Rogue Matter titles—'Ketcher: Origins,' 'Don't Tell My Wife I'm a Cult Leader,' and 'The Time Trader'—into episodic streaming series scheduled to debut later this year. Fairground plans to release eight to nine productions by year-end as part of its mission to democratize content creation through AI tools.

"Comic books and graphic novels naturally lend themselves to AI-created TV versions with their strong storylines, characters, and existing artwork," Petrie-Norris told StreamTV Insider. The AI technology transforms "two-dimensional cells of stories into living, moving, breathing video" while staying true to the original source material's style and mood.
