Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey has taken $289 million on IMAX screens, the highest total for any release in the format's history. More than 26% of the film's worldwide gross came from IMAX auditoriums. IMAX box office reached $257 million in July alone, the company's biggest month since it was founded in 1967.
