Summary
The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has framed CES 2027 around moving from AI adoption to AI revenue. Digital Hollywood opens the week on Jan. 5 with sessions on microdramas, creator monetization and cinematic AI. K-EnterTech Hub and smartcms have built seven stand-alone products around it, from a KRW 500,000 half-day tour to a U.S. TV coverage package.

CES 2027 runs Jan. 6–9, 2027, in Las Vegas, and its organizer is putting AI revenue at the center of the show.

"What matters for companies is what results AI delivers for revenue growth and operating efficiency," Brian Comiskey, vice president of innovation and trends at the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), said in Seoul on Oct. 13, Seoul Economic Daily reported. CTA President and CEO Kinsey Fabrizio told Korea JoongAng Daily the next day that the show will feature more mature AI use cases whose results companies can quantify.

Entertainment faces the same question. Digital Hollywood, a CES partner event at Aria on Jan. 5, the day before the show floor opens, has scheduled sessions on creator-economy monetization, microdramas and vertical networks, cinematic AI, and "In the Age of AI Slop, Quality is the New Currency," with speakers from Amazon, Warner Bros. Discovery, Google, Microsoft and LG Electronics.

K-EnterTech Hub (K엔터테크허브) and smartcms (스마트씨엠에스) have built the CES 2027 Entertainment Tech Insight Tour around that calendar as seven stand-alone products. A guided CES tour costs KRW 500,000 (about $360) for a half day and KRW 1.3 million (about $930) for a full day. On Jan. 7 the two companies host their own Entertainment Tech Conference at Caesars Palace.

More than 25 entertainment sessions at CES 2026, with Hollywood debating AI and creators

CES 2026 drew 148,392 participants, including 55,841 from 141 countries outside the U.S., and more than 4,100 exhibitors; attendees interested in AI rose 22% year on year, CTA said in audited figures. More than 25 entertainment panels and events took place, with Hollywood and creators debating AI production, copyright and the role of creators, the Associated Press reported on Jan. 7.

Korea sent more than 13,000 attendees and nearly 800 companies, about 400 of them startups, Fabrizio said.

Lenovo keynotes at Sphere as entertainment venues become CES stages

Lenovo will hold Tech World at Sphere at 5 p.m. on Jan. 6, where Chairman and CEO Yuanqing Yang will present its hybrid AI strategy, CTA announced on Oct. 7. "AI is entering a new phase, where every individual and every enterprise should be empowered," Yang said.

LVCC Central Hall hosts major brands and entertainment, and North Hall gathers AI, audioXpress reported on Oct. 8; content and entertainment companies and brands meet at C Space. Conference tracks include AI, robotics, and XR and spatial computing.

K-content exports reach $14.9 billion as Korean companies look for AI revenue models

Korea's content industry exported $14.9 billion in 2025 (preliminary), up from $14.1 billion in 2024, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said in June. AI tools that cut production costs and widen distribution, new formats such as creator content and microdramas, and immersive venues such as Sphere all come together at CES 2027. For Korean content companies, the question at CES is how these technologies turn into revenue.
