SEOUL, South Korea, August 27, 2026 — Hyundai Sungwoo Group (현대성우그룹) announced that it held the launch ceremony for the 7th class of its university student supporters program, "Hyundai Sungwoo Challengers," on August 21, marking the official start of the group's activities.

The ceremony was attended by Hyundai Sungwoo Group officials and the newly selected members of the 7th Challengers class. Launched in 2020, Hyundai Sungwoo Challengers is a university student supporters program built on "Challenge," one of Hyundai Sungwoo Group's core values. It gives students hands-on experience by having them plan and produce content on the mobility industry and the group's brands themselves.

The program for the day included individual introductions by the Challengers, an overview of Hyundai Sungwoo Group and its main businesses, a briefing on supporter activities and missions, and a group photo session.

Through December, over roughly five months, the 7th class will carry out monthly missions covering Hyundai Sungwoo Group's products and brands as well as its wider businesses and activities, including the Solite Indigo Racing (쏠라이트 인디고 레이싱) motorsports team. Members will plan and produce content in a range of formats — video, card news and feature articles, along with short-form content reflecting recent shifts in how audiences consume media.

The resulting content will be published across personal blogs, Instagram, YouTube and other social channels. Hyundai Sungwoo Group expects it to broaden public interest in and understanding of the mobility industry, including auto parts and motorsports, through the fresh perspective of university students.

All supporters receive a monthly stipend during the activity period, along with mentoring from working professionals, team apparel and official merchandise. Those who complete the program receive a certificate, and top performers are given additional awards and prize money.

Hyundai Sungwoo Group said it hopes Hyundai Sungwoo Challengers will be a meaningful experience in which university students plan and produce content of their own and demonstrate their capabilities, adding that it will actively support the 7th class in translating their creative ideas and enthusiasm into a wide range of content.

Hyundai Sungwoo Group comprises Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings (현대성우홀딩스), the holding company; Hyundai Sungwoo Casting (현대성우캐스팅), a manufacturer of alloy wheels and cast products; and Hyundai Sungwoo Solite (현대성우쏠라이트), a specialist in lead-acid batteries including automotive batteries. The group also runs the Solite Indigo Racing motorsports team as part of a broader set of brand activities grounded in the automotive industry and motorsports.
