K-EnterTech Hub (케이엔터테크허브), The Way Company (더웨이컴퍼니) and Pacemakers (페이스메이커스) hold the second online briefing for K-Nevada Gateway 2026 on September 7 at 8 p.m. KST. The session runs 60 minutes on Zoom and takes no advance registration.
The organizers scheduled a second session because seats remain ahead of the September 12 deadline. Of the ten places, four teams have confirmed — Pixelscope (픽셀스코프), Millennial Works (밀레니얼웍스), Face Republic (페이스리퍼블릭) and HelloWorks (헬로웍스) — while Batterfly (배터플라이), CIP Energy (씨아이피에너지) and ParticleHunt (파티클헌트) are in discussion. The first briefing was held on August 28.

Sixty minutes… Day 1–4 schedule, selection criteria and fee breakdown
The briefing opens with an introduction of the host organizations, then spends 12 minutes on the Day 1–4 schedule, what the fee covers and the selection criteria. It moves to the Nevada market entry environment and the four site-visit tracks, after which Cho Ki-hwan (조기환), CEO of Pacemakers, presents the results of the July pre-visit to Reno along with local meeting and PoC cases. Korea Night 2026, K-Nevada Bridge and the CES 2027 link follow, and the session closes with Q&A and the application procedure.
Four days in Reno… six-minute pitches and 30-minute company meetings
The program opens on September 28 with arrival in Reno and orientation. The next day the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), Northern NV Now and the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) brief participants on market, policy and site conditions, and companies deliver six-minute sector pitches at the UNR Center for Global Engagement in the K-Startup Showcase. Northern NV Now, GOED, the Nevada Center for Applied Research (NCAR) and local venture investors attend as the audience.
September 30 is filled with 30-minute one-on-one meetings per company, with StartUpNV, FundNV, AngelNV and Mission Law Firm. Each company works through its own investment review stage, entity type and visa questions, and contract structure. In the 2025 edition, MAZE (메이즈) incorporated in Reno and started a PoC, and LEDON (엘이디온) began joint smart-farm research with the UNR College of Agriculture.
Nine sites on Day 4… from the Tesla Gigafactory to NCAR
Sites on the final day are divided by business area. Energy and battery companies visit the Tesla Gigafactory, Panasonic Energy and Dragonfly Energy. Mobility and autonomous systems go to Nevada Autonomous, NCAR and the Desert Research Institute (DRI); AI, content and media go to UNR VARI Core, UNR Athletics and a Switch data center. Medical companies visit Renown Health.
UNR operates FAA-designated unmanned aircraft test airspace. The waiver covers 1,000 square miles north of Reno and permits beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) flight up to 300 pounds and below 18,000 feet. Drone and unmanned-systems companies can review validation sites during the same visit.
Eight sectors… K-Beauty and K-Food added as the first consumer category
The program recruits in eight sectors: energy and battery, semiconductor and AI, medical and health tech, AI and content and media, drone and mobility, agtech and cleantech, entertech and fandom, and K-Beauty and K-Food. The last is new this year, and its counterparts are Nevada distribution and retail channels and the Korean-American consumer network rather than research institutions. Face Republic is the first company to join in that sector.
Three of the four confirmed teams are in content and media, which puts the weight of this edition on UNR VARI Core, UNR Athletics, Korea Night and the local consumer market.
Korea Night at Reno Public Market on Sept. 30… five LA offices attending
Korea Night 2026 runs from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. on September 30 at Reno Public Market, a food hall and retail complex with a performance stage on the former Shoppers Square site. The theme is "Business Meetup K-Night: Next K-Wave & EnterTech," and the girl group KANDIS (캔디스) opens with a K-pop set. The event is organized with the Korean Association of Reno.
Confirmed attendees are the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles (주로스앤젤레스 한국문화원) and the Consul for Economic Affairs, together with the Los Angeles offices of Chungcheongnam-do (충청남도), Jeollanam-do (전라남도) and Incheon Metropolitan City (인천광역시). Visits by mayors and governors moved to CES week in January 2027 because Korea’s National Assembly audit season overlaps with the September dates, and city-to-city MOU signings moved with them. The LA offices are resident organizations and can serve as follow-up channels for three months after the program.
Applications close Sept. 12… US$7,500 with airfare separate
The fee is US$7,500 per company, covering three nights of accommodation, meals and program operations, with airfare paid separately. Applications close on September 12, or earlier if the ten places fill. Reno Startup Week 2026 runs September 28 to October 2, overlapping the full program, and participants can join its sessions.
After the program, K-Nevada Bridge carries follow-up discussions with local institutions for three months, and the group reconvenes during CES 2027 in Las Vegas in January.
