Fikad (피카디), the Korean startup behind the AI short-form editing service Fika Clip (피카클립), launched fika.agent (피카에이전트) on Oct. 26, an AI agent that produces a short-form video from a single line of text. The agent handles planning, storyboarding, scene generation, captions and music.
Fika Clip works on footage that already exists, cutting long videos into shorts. fika.agent needs no footage at all: it builds videos from product photos, article links, blog posts or even a recipe note.
Storyboard approval first, then scene-by-scene fixes
Production runs in four steps. The agent asks a few questions to pin down the audience and mood, then presents a storyboard laying out the scenes. Rendering starts only after the user approves it, and any scene can be regenerated on its own with a note such as "make it brighter." Finished videos move into the Fika Clip editor for caption and music tweaks or download.

More than 60 templates cover formats including news briefings, science explainers, CGI product ads, history storyboards, magazine covers and character dances. Logos, products and characters saved as brand assets are applied automatically across templates. Videos and captions can be made in five languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese. Jobs keep running if the user leaves the page, with a notification on completion.

Aimed at small businesses and solo creators, from about $26 a month
Fikad is targeting small business owners, marketers, solo creators and operators of information and news channels who need to post shorts every week without a camera crew or editing skills. The company says the tool saves the most time on formats where planning matters more than filming, such as product promos, news briefings and memes.
There are three plans. The free tier gives 500 credits with no card required. Pro costs 34,900 won (about $26) a month for 5,000 monthly credits, the full template library and watermark-free downloads. Max costs 99,000 won (about $74) a month for 15,000 credits, parallel production and priority processing. Annual billing cuts prices by up to 20%, and existing Fika Clip users can sign in with the same account and credits.
Fika Clip's website lists YouTube channels run by SBS News (SBS 뉴스), JTBC News (JTBC 뉴스), Yonhap News (연합뉴스), EBS Documentary (EBS 다큐) and CJ ENM among its users, and puts the number of shorts generated on the platform at 700,000.
"Until now, only people with footage could make shorts. With fika.agent, a single product photo or one line of text becomes a video," said Jeong Won-mo (정원모), CEO of Fikad. "Because you check and approve the storyboard first, the result is predictable, and since you can fix it scene by scene, you can quickly make shorts that are ready for real work."
Founded in June 2023, Fikad is headquartered in Daejeon with an office in Seoul's Gangnam district. fika.agent runs in a web browser with no installation.
Dollar figures are converted at 1,336.8 won per dollar, the Seoul market close on Oct. 29.
