CUNY professor Ohbong Kwon receives Korean science minister's commendation
CUNY professor Ohbong Kwon, KSEA president-elect, received a ministerial commendation at KOFST’s 60th anniversary in Seoul on Sept. 30. Recognized for advancing U.S.–Korea science and technology ties through academic exchanges and networks supporting the next generation of researchers.

권오봉 뉴욕시립대 교수, 9월 30일 서울 한국과학기술회관서 열린 과총 창립 60주년 기념식에서 부총리 겸 과학기술정보통신부 장관 표창 받아. 재미한인과학기술자협회(KSEA) 차기 회장으로, 학술 교류와 차세대 연구자 네트워크를 이끌며 한·미 과학기술 협력 기반을 넓혀온 공로 인정. 뉴욕지부 회장을 두 차례 역임하며 미 동북부 학술대회와 청년 과학기술인 교류 활동 주도. 장관 표창 수상자 10명 가운데 해외 기관 소속은 권 교수가 유일. 앞으로도 양국 연구 교류와 차세대 인재 양성을 위한 협력 확대에 힘쓸 계획.
Kim Eun sook Becomes First Writer to Win the Golden Bird Award
Kim Eun-sook has been named the first writer to receive the Seoul International Drama Awards’ Golden Bird Award. The honor recognizes a career spanning Lovers in Paris, Goblin and The Glory. The ceremony takes place on October 8 at KBS Hall in Seoul.
